Explain?
The LaRouche people are conspiracy theorists who are into a weird form of right wing socialism/ big govt

Webster Tarpley is a protege of LaRouche.

The Schiller Institute if I'm reading it correctly is the cultural arm of the LaRouche organization.

Webster Tarpley is a protege of LaRouche.

Cheers.

Yes, their website mentions that the founder is married to Larouche.

In any case, it was a nice gesture.
Schiller was likely a freemason:

Quote:In 1787, in his tenth letter about Don Carlos, Schiller wrote:

"I am neither Illuminati nor Mason, but if the fraternization has a moral purpose in common with one another, and if this purpose for human society is the most important, ..."[16]
In a letter from 1829, two Freemasons from Rudolstadt complain about the dissolving of their Lodge Günther zum stehenden Löwen that was honoured by the initiation of Schiller. According to Schiller's great-grandson Alexander von Gleichen-Rußwurm, Schiller was brought to the Lodge by Wilhelm Heinrich Karl von Gleichen-Rußwurm. No membership document has been found

I just discovered this thread.

I used to do research on alternative political groups and the Larouche group was one i spent a good bit of time investigating. I went to many meetings, read all the literature--including the back issues--interviewed members and put up with a lot of crap from the leaders for my efforts.

Larouche is a Marxist. He has tried to disguise the fact in different ways at different times, depending on the current zeitgeist, but nothing really changes about his beliefs. Larouchism is a form of neo Marxism, a deviation from Marx, like most so called Marxisims are.

His wife, Helga-Zepp Larouche was the head of the Schiller Institute when I was investigating them. If you didn't know anything about Lyndon, the Schiller Institute looks like wonderful thing an first glance. They seem to be supporting western culture, with readings of great books and authors, the promotion of classical western music, philosophy, religion, and all the rest. But seeing behind the curtain requires some knowledge that you won't get if you are educated by establishment sources.

The group is cult. No question about it. They have ruined lives of many of their members. Talking to family members of the cult victims was honestly heart breaking. They use all the usual tactics of cults. The members are suffering from some heavy disassociation. I witnessed this myself and they tried very hard to get me to join up.

Now the thing that struck me most deeply in my time investigating them wasn't even the Larouchies themselves but the way the media handled them. I already knew the media were a pack of liars but this really cemented it for me. They were portrayed as some right wing, neo Nazi group when in fact they were hardcore left wing progressives and deviant Marxists. The hatred between Larouche and the media was more like a factional fight between leftists, like Stalin and Trotsky hated each other. If I believed anything in the mainstream media before that experience, i never did afterward.

Anyway, just thought I would add that to an old thread. these guys are still around and hopefully nobody here will get fooled by them
thanks for the contribution

it's pretty obvious when you look at LaRouche Protege Webster Griffin Tarpley's views

they believe in big govt, but they also believe in nationalism somewhat

Tarpley is a huge supporter of the left

^ Tarpley is nutty in that vid... but he also provides very sharp commentary most of the time
