Anti-slavery activist Harriet Tubman to replace Jackson on $20 bill

CNN WASHINGTON — Abolitionist Harriet Tubman's image will appear on a new series of $20 bills, becoming the first African-American to appear on U.S. paper currency and the first woman in more than a century, the Treasury Department announced Wednesday.

In replacing replace President Andrew Jackson on the front of the $20 bill, the Treasury Department abandoned a previous plan to have a woman replace founding father Alexander Hamilton on the $10.

probably a signal to the small govt activists.

andrew jackson was a slave owner, but he was supposedly an enemy of the banksters.. calling them a den of vipers
From now on, a man's wealth will be measured in Tubman's.

But good for her. I'm sure Andrew Jackson wouldn't have wanted to be on it anyway.
Aren't all papers supposed to be dead presidents?

Who is this woman, Underground Railroad related?
lol

Why don’t we just skip all the frog-boiling and go ahead and put Amschel Mayer Rothschild on the $20 bill?
Maybe we should put Obama and AL Sharpton and some trannies on there? That's the endgame here. Just do it.
Wow. That's more than her market value before the war. Progress.
I think it was Ben Carson who mentioned on Megyn Kelly's show that it's ironic that they chose an ex-slave to be used as a currency marker.
This is a move to deminish the last president to bust a central bank.

Dude was a piece of shit for the trail of tears, but he did have one marvelous accomplishment that has not been duplicated since.

And the Hamiltons...
Jackson killed the central bank and paid off the national debt. It was an insult to him to put his image on central bank money. The irony is that the Democrats have replaced the founder of the Democratic party with a gun toting Republican.
